A week long program to mark the World Blood Donors Day formally kicked off on 6th June 2014 amidst an impressive crowd, headed by Blood Donors Association. The event was supported by different social, private, government organizations  and individuals.

The rally was inaugurated by Mr. Devratna Dhakhwa, Secretary General of Nepal Redcross Society. Nepali pop icon and socialist Nirnay Shrestha also marked his valuable presence in the rally.

The rally took off from Blood Bank, Pradarsani Marga and concluded at Basantapur.
